| The Women @ Grace "His Hands" |
| His Hands serves as a constant source of fellowship and companionship throughout the body of our church and beyond. As a whole and in 8 smaller groups in which ladies are assigned with a leader, we strive to minister to anyone in need at any time. The groups also work together organizing many of our church functions. Beginning next week, there will be a sign up sheet in the church foyer for anyone wanting to be a part of this ministry. Please fill out the needed information and you will be placed in a group as soon as possible. Also, if you have served in this ministry and would like to withdraw or step down as a leader you may do so at this time of regrouping. The ladies of Grace welcome each and everyone interested in joining us as we minister to those who need to know the touch of His hands. Thanks so much to the ladies who have been so faithful over the past few years. It is a blessing to see you loving each other. After regrouping, we will look forward to a special fellowship where we will get to know each other and welcome any newcomers, date and time to be announced! Statement of Purpose Because with His hands He touched a fevered brow, reached out to the leper, fed a multitude, blessed the children, washed dirty feet, opened the eyes of the blind, comforted the frightened, took hold of a drowning man, carried a cross...we want to minister to each other and to anyone who needs to know the touch of His hands. Just a reminder that we have a Bible Study at J.C. Robinson's house each Monday at 6AM. Parents, who has more influence on your children? You will find this study very interesting. Take a look at some of these statistics. Out of 168 hours per week, children spend approximately ---- 56 hours sleeping 40 hours in school 4 hours in church 68 hours other "It is a situation of tremendous responsibility to be a parent: for the manner in which you discharge the duties of this relation, you must give an account in that awful day when the secrets of all hearts shall be judged by Jesus Christ...It will not then be sufficient to plead the strength of your affection, nor the ceaseless efforts to which it gave rise; for if these efforts were not directed to a right end, if all your solicitude was lavished upon inferior objects, you will receive a rebuke of him that sitteth upon the throne"... John Angell, A Christian Fathers Present to His Children As our preschool department continues to grow, we need more help...men and women. If you are a parent of a preschooler and not presently helping, we need your help NOW. If you do not have a preschooler but would like to volunteer we welcome you. By volunteering you will relieve a Sunday school leader from working both the Sunday school and worship service hours. You may volunteer two months a year (8 Sundays) or one Sunday a month (12 Sundays per year). If you can help, see Thelma. Join us for these times... Bible Time ----9:00 Catechism ---- 9:00 (grades 3-6) Worship------10:15 As of now we have seven students attending Summer Beach Project. Please make this a matter of prayer, that God would grow them as He grew Paul in the deserts of Arabia. Pray that lost people would be saved as they minister on the beaches and in their jobs. Pray that God would provide comfort and safety as they are away from everything that is familiar to them. Summer Beach Project is a ten-week missions and training project for college Christians. The purpose of the project is to help each student grow in his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to share the good news of Christ with others. The project is also designed to help build godly character into the lives of the students. The students work full-time jobs in the community to both earn money for the summer and to reach out to those with whom they work. Evenings and weekends are devoted to growth opportunities for the students through project activities and the local church. |
